Commercial transport vehicles make up a unique application range for sensors. Specialized attachments or auxiliary systems often create “rolling machines.” Excavators, cranes, fork lifts, agricultural machinery, waste, and fire-fighting vehicles create a multitude of applications for harsh-duty sensors.

This hard working mobile equipment requires sensors that can survive the most demanding environments. Scorching heat, freezing temperatures, rain, road salt, corrosive chemicals, radio frequency noise, and the highest levels of shock and vibration are an everyday occurrence.

Requirements from automobile manufacturing or ship building – such as any increased EMC specifications, e1- or GL-certification must also be considered. In many customer-specific developments over the last years, we have proven our capabilities in integrating these requirements into our products.

We offer a series of inductive sensors that are machined from solid stainless steel, giving them a heavily armored jacket that protects them from hazards like cutting fluid and metal shavings. Inductive sensors for analog position measuring and inclination sensors are also available.

Designed with the mobile equipment market in mind, Pepperl+Fuchs provides the toughest and most versatile sensors on the market.
